How to lace your silver leaf corset

Before you begin:

On positioning the corset - the top of the corset should be aligned at the nipple line, when in a well-supporting bra.
Don't misread this to say you should wear a bra with your corset, due to the steel boning, wearing a bra would be painful. Wearing our corsets should not be painful, it is supposed to be a pleasant experience, like a firm hug.

Let's get started!

Lace A

  1. Starting at the top, begin straight across on the inside, passing  the lace ends out through the top grommets.
  2. At the next set of grommets, cross OVER (on the outside) and in through the next lower set of grommets.
  3. Next, cross UNDER (on the inside) and out through the next lower set of grommets.
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until your laces come out the 5th grommet from the bottom.

Lace B (same thing, just from the bottom)

  1. Starting at the bottom, begin straight across on the inside, passing the lace ends out through the bottom grommets.
  2. At the next set of grommets, cross OVER (on the outside) and in through the next higher set of grommets.
  3. Next, cross UNDER (on the inside) and out through the next higher set of grommets.
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until your laces come out the 5th grommet from the bottom.

Finishing Touches

  1. Make sure that both sets of laces exit the same grommet, from the UNDER(or inside)  position, 5th from the bottom.
  2. Before tightening down the corset, adjust the chemise by pulling it from the bottom, creating a V in the center with the cleavage and the neckline you desire.
  3. Now it is time to "fluff the girls," as described in the following section.
  4. To Tighten: Using the X's created during lacing, pull to tighten each lace from the top down and bottom up, meeting at the 5th grommet. This should be the narrowest part of the waist.
  5. Tighten until to your comfort level, then finish by tying both laces into a single bow or double knot. Remember this shouldn't be a painful experience, it should feel good, like a really supportive hug. If  you discover a difficulty breathing, first roll your shoulders back and take three big, slow breaths to allow the body to find a natural rhythm. If you are still uncomfortable, then consider loosening a bit.

Fluffing the Girls  (AKA: achieving optimal cleavage :)

  1. Bend forward, while reaching inside the chemise, lift each breast forward and up into the cup of the corset.
  2. Make sure the "tips" are pointed down below the top line of the corset before the final tightening to ensure they stay tucked, and to avoid any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions.
  3. Doing proper initial fluffing before tightening the top portion of the corset will help make sure the girls both look great and stay appropriately placed during your adventures! :)
